Overview

Selfie Gate helps you add intentional friction before opening distracting apps. This policy explains what the app and marketing site are designed to handle.

Information we collect

The app is currently designed without a Selfie Gate account system or custom backend. App settings, blocked-app selections, unlock sessions, and selfie history are stored on your device. If you contact us by email, we receive the email address and message you choose to send.

Photos and selfies

Selfies taken in the app are stored privately in the app on your device. They are not uploaded to Selfie Gate servers. If you choose to share a selfie or save it to your photo library, that action is handled by iOS and may involve the destination app or service you choose.

Screen Time permissions

Selfie Gate uses Apple Screen Time frameworks, including Family Controls and Managed Settings, to let you select apps and shield them during gated periods. The app uses this access to provide app blocking and unlock flows. We do not sell Screen Time selections or use them for advertising.

Camera access

The app asks for camera permission so you can take a selfie for an unlock session. Camera access is used for the in-app verification flow and photo capture only.

Purchases

Paid plans are expected to use Apple in-app purchase. Apple processes payment information. Selfie Gate does not receive your full payment card number.

Marketing site

The marketing site is static and does not currently include custom analytics, cookies, newsletter signup, or server-side email collection.

Data deletion

You can delete app data by deleting the app from your device. You can remove individual selfies from inside the app where that feature is available. For support email deletion requests, contact us at hello@selfiegate.app from the same email address you used to contact us.

Changes

We may update this policy if accounts, analytics, crash reporting, or a backend are added in the future.
